Introduction of Ex-Choreographers (Selection)

	郑书正(香港) Mr Cheng Shu Jing (79,81,86,96 & 99) 编导节目Choreography: 花儿与少年，鱼舞，小刀舞，鹤，迎亲，酒歌，牧，泼水节，云之南，井旁 1967年毕业于北京华侨大学艺术系舞蹈专业。郑老师可说是国家剧场华族舞团的鼻祖编导兼老师，也是促进新加坡华族舞蹈水平的一大功臣。1996 年他的独舞表演吸引了无数的观众，当中有许多他的学生和仰慕者，两晚演出票房皆报捷，好评连连。 Mr Cheng was the guru (choreographer and teacher) of the National Theatre Chinese Dance Company (NTCDC) and he had made tremendous contributions towards Chinese Dance in Singapore . His solo in 1996 was a highlight, and tickets were all sold out for both nights, with many of his students and fans among the audience.
	廖丽丽(中国) Mdm Liu Lai Lai (79,81,82,84 & 86) 编导节目Choreography: 葡萄丰年，在田间，牧马，英歌，漓江上的姑娘，夜练，钱铃双刀，鹿仙 (小舞剧)，喜迎春，盾牌舞，椰树下，喜冤家，节日的欢腾，浣纱，哪吒（小舞剧），水中乐，石窟仙子 1966年广东省舞蹈学校毕业。廖老师是国家剧场华族舞团邀请的第一位驻团指导老师兼编导，负责基训训练和编舞，严格教学态度下培育了许多优秀的新生，是《东方舞集》舞蹈作品最多的编导。 Mdm Liu was the first full-time dance instructor cum choreographer employed by the NTCDC. Under her strict discipline and tutelage, many outstanding young and new dancers were nurtured from her classes.
	刘东河 (新加坡) （已故） Mr Low Tong Woh (Departed) (1981 - 1994) 中学时期开始舞蹈活动，1964年参加马来亚艺术学院，受过芭蕾和华族舞蹈训练。刘老师早期负责训练年轻演员，曾担任几届舞团主席和重要委员，工作态度严谨，是舞团的元老之一。 Mr Low was the instructor for new members who joined in the earlier years of NTCDC and chaired the dance committee for some years besides being a committee member.
	黄秀珍(新加坡) Mdm Huang Xiu Zhen (1981 - 1989) 编导节目Choreography: 胡姬花，姐妹岛，绿野，断桥 1963年考获英国皇家芭蕾舞学院高级文凭。一位团里上下都称呼她为秀珍姐的前辈，是舞团的元老之一，也曾担任几届主席和重要委员。 Mdm Huang is affectionately known as XiuZhen Jie (Sister Xiu Zhen) among the Troupe members. She was a choreographer and chaired the NTCDC committee for a few years.
	李淑芬(新加坡) Mdm Li Shu Fen (81,82 & 86) 编导节目Choreography: 飞天，波光莲影，放裴（小舞剧） 1941年负笈日本东京舞蹈学院及贝谷芭蕾舞学院。李老师是新加坡华族舞坛德高望重的老前辈,她在本地桃李满天下,为推广本地华族舞蹈的重要功臣之一。 Mdm Li was one of the most prestigious and well-respected teachers in the early days of Chinese Dance in Singapore .
	颜明理(新加坡) Mdm Yan Ming Li (81,82,84,86 & 87) 编导节目Choreography: 欢乐的椰林，节日的喜悦，盘子舞，竹板舞，筑路工人舞，阿诺纳亚，烛光舞曾在新加坡芭蕾舞学院和巴斯卡学院学习。颜老师擅长编排印尼、马来和印度舞蹈，是本地少数（华族）印度独舞演员之一。她也是国家剧场华族舞团团委的第一任主席，也担任过几届副主席。 Other than being a choreographer, Mdm Yan was also the 1st Chairperson of the NTCDC Dance Committee, and then the Vice-Chairperson for several years. In Dances of the Orient, she choreographed Indonesian, Malay and Indian Dances, and herself, a unique Indian Dance Dancer.
	周淑春(新加坡)Mdm Chew Seok Choon (1981 -1983) 编导节目Choreography: 归来，红与蓝，绿，生曾在新加坡芭蕾舞学院学习，1971年远赴澳洲维多利亚芭蕾舞学院深造。当年的周淑春舞而优则导，曾经表演和编导了结合芭蕾和民族舞蹈予一体的舞蹈，编导手法独创一格，是本地一级独舞演员。 Mdm Chew was one of the best local solo dancers in Singapore . She performed and choreographed uniquely-blended ballet and Chinese dances.
	叶碧玲(香港) Mdm Yip Pik Ling(1984-1986, 1991-1997) 编导节目Choreography: 大雁南飞，水火之争，火树银花，菊豆与天青段舞，归，花辫子，签，成长，家，1996序，山泉，缤纷的风采，喜悦 1967年毕业于北京华侨大学艺术系舞蹈专业。叶老师是国家剧场华族舞团邀请的第二位驻团指导老师兼编导，在任期间培育了不少优秀年轻演员。舞剧《菊豆与天青》段舞可说是她重要的代表作之一。 Mdm Yip was the second full-time dance instructor cum choreographer employed by the NTCDC. "Ju Dou and Tian Qing" was one of her best magnum opus.
	李恒达(中国) Mr Li Heng Da (1989, 1993 & 1997) 编导节目Choreography: 黄河，草原交响诗，珠穆拉玛，草原牧歌，梁山伯与祝英台 1980年毕业于沈阳音乐学院附属舞蹈学院，1984年毕业于北京舞蹈学院表演系。当年随精英舞蹈团(北京)南下新加坡表演的李恒达先生，和舞团结下了不解之缘。许多观众至今仍然难忘他在1997年《东方舞集》双人舞《梁山伯与祝英台》里的精彩演出。 The collaboration between the Troupe and Mr Li started after he came with the Chinese Dance Company ( Beijing ) to perform in Singapore in 1989. He and Huang Xue performed an exquisite "Butterfly Lovers" pas de duex in “Dances of the Orient 1997”, and it still remains memorable for many viewers.
	郭万兴(新加坡) Mr Ker Ban Hing (1991 -1998) 编导节目Choreography: 祭，天网，黄土豪情，夜魂，再婚，孽债，求生，心囚中学时代学习华族舞蹈，曾参加周淑春老师属下芭蕾舞蹈训练班。郭万兴先生到目前为止是和东方舞集合作时间最长的新加坡编导。他曾担任舞团的重要团委，1997年获得艺术理事会颁发的“青年艺术家”奖。 Mr Ker has served the longest within the Troupe, as a Singaporean Choreographer, during which he choreographed many items for the Troupe. He was a committee member and received the "Young Artist Award" awarded by National Arts Council in 1997.

	黄秀珍(新加坡) Mdm Huang Xiu Zhen (1981 - 1989) 编导节目Choreography: 胡姬花，姐妹岛，绿野，断桥 1963年考获英国皇家芭蕾舞学院高级文凭。一位团里上下都称呼她为秀珍姐的前辈，是舞团的元老之一，也曾担任几届主席和重要委员。 Mdm Huang is affectionately known as XiuZhen Jie (Sister Xiu Zhen) among the Troupe members. She was a choreographer and chaired the NTCDC committee for a few years.
